Tuesday Tip: Update On Stimulus Checks For Social Security Recipients image

Many social security recipients are experiencing problems receiving their third stimulus checks. Financial Coach Diahanna Vallentine shares the reason for the delay.

Some Social Security recipients have not received their third $1400.00 stimulus check even though they qualify for it. The problem lies with the Social Security Administration according to the Ways and Means Committee.  An estimated 30 million Social Security recipients are still waiting for those checks. The Social Security Administration was supposed to have sent a payment file two weeks before President Biden signed the bill into law yet it hasn’t been done. There isn’t an expected date for this to be complete. You can sign onto the website www.irs.gov, Get My Payment, to check the status of your check. You may have a notice saying they have incomplete information. That is the aforementioned problem.

You can check back every day to see if it has been updated.
