We are joining the popular Finish Chelsea's Run event in San Diego with a Muscles for Myeloma team. Here's how to join us to run in honor of myeloma patients and for myeloma research.
. You can register with or without a shirt, but we recommend you register with one so it's easier to find your fellow teammates. Click Join a Team and select the Muscles for Myeloma Team San Diego when you register to see who else may be running in this event. Once you've registered, you can personalize your page by adding a photo or uploading a video. If you'd like to join us for the whole campaign, describe on your page how you plan to get fit in the months of March and April to support myeloma patients who need a little extra motivation to get fit.
Invite your friends to sponsor your walk/run or fitness goal using your new page link. You can send them invitations to sponsor you by email, Facebook or Twitter. They can make an immediate donation or pledge per minute you plan to exercise.

Register for the Race Race Registration Deadline: Registration for this race closes March 2, 2016 Date: Saturday, March 5, 2016 Time: Race begins at 7:30 am. Meet at 7:00 am for a Muscles for Myeloma team photo Place: San Diego's Balboa Park Muscles for Myeloma Team San Diego Meetup: Meet at 7:00 at on the corner of 6th Avenue and Maple Street in Balboa Park. Watch for our red Muscles for Myeloma shirts and our tent with a Muscles for Myeloma banner. We'll take a team photo before we get started! Then come hang out at our tent after the race and meet members of the myeloma community. Registration Fees/Types:
From Interstate 5 south: Take Sassafras (Airport) exit. Turn left on Laurel heading east to the top of the hill. Look for free and metered street parking near and around the west side of Balboa Park and in available pay lots. From Highway 163 south: Take University exit. Turn right on University, then left on 4th Avenue. Once you're near Balboa Park look for street parking. Do not attempt to drive to the race staging area from the east side of Balboa Park, as you will not be able to drive across the Laurel Street Bridge. There is metered street parking on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Avenues between Upas and Grape. We strongly encourage you to carpool if possible, and allow extra time to walk from your car to the event site.Race Proceeds:
Proceeds from the race registration fee will be donated to the Chelsea's Light Foundation and the Girl Scouts. Sponsorships you receive on your page will be donated to multiple myeloma research, the Myeloma Crowd Research Initiative.
