Feelings, Fatigue and Fitness: Help Roswell Park Myeloma Researcher Complete His Fitness/Health Myeloma Study image

How do you feel right now? And how fit are you? Myeloma specialist Jens Hillengass, MD, Chief of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute multiple myeloma program is running a myeloma health and fitness study and would like YOUR input.

Dr. Hillengass has been studying the impact of fitness on physical and mental health in multiple myeloma patients for the last year. He wondered how fitness could help myeloma patients live a longer and better life through exercise. He has patients that are both reticent to exercise and those who are avid fitness buffs, and wishes to have data behind patient outcomes as they relate to emotional health, overall fatigue and fitness.

We created HealthTree to help myeloma researchers come to faster conclusions without the need for lengthy or expensive studies. These are questions we as patients can easily anwer to help the research community come to faster conclusions and develop new hypotheses for us all. We have provided the HealthTree platform to Dr. Hillengass for free becaus our only goal is to provide support for his research.

Should we exercise more? Does fitness help our overall bone health even though we may be understandably wary to exercise? Are myeloma patients who exercise happier than those who don't? You can help answer these important questions.

To contribute, register in HealthTree and click the link below to be taken directly to the Feelings, Fatigue and Fitness survey.
