As you know, the month of March is Myeloma Awareness Month. More importantly, it's also Myeloma Action Month. More and more patients and doctors are using social media, like Twitter, to share information and identify gaps that need to be filled for myeloma patients, family and caregivers. We invite you to join the conversation on Monday, March 28 at 10 am EST. If you've never followed a tweet chat before, here's how it works:

  1. You can use a tool like TweetChat to participate in the conversation. Just login to TweetChat with your Twitter account user ID and password and type the hashtag #DiscoverMyeloma. This will let you see all posts using that tag. Or you can just login to Twitter and enter the #DiscoverMyeloma hashtag in the top right corner of your screen.
  2. The moderator will ask specific questions. After the questions, you can enter your answers. Make sure to use the #DiscoverMyeloma hashtag in your response so the group can see what you have to say.
  3. Some of the questions will ask about your experience like what you wish your doctor had told you when you were first diagnosed or what advice you have for the newly diagnosed patient. This is a great way to identify what we as patients need. It is not a good forum to ask personal treatment-related questions.

The goal is to share some advice, understand the patient's perspective, identify what patients still need and have a conversation about how to spread greater myeloma awareness.

We're excited to have you join us!myeloma
