A decade ago, my husband Paul and I started the HealthTreee Foundation for Multiple Myeloma (formerly Myeloma Crowd). This year we are so excited to celebrate our 10-Year Anniversary! Back in 2012, I could have never dreamed it would become what it is today.
I started the Foundation because as a myeloma patient myself, I wasn't seeing the support services I wanted and very much needed. I also couldn't find tools that could enable patients to actively contribute to academic research to move us faster towards a cure. Ten years later, we have amazing programs and although we are closer, I still can't wait for a cure!
It began with the first program - Myeloma Crowd Radio. From those humble beginnings, we have growing into an incredible organization that supports you in so many ways. HealthTree grew organically, adding new programs or initiatives each year.
