Julie Moser, AML survivor, doctor of education and co-developer of Journal-to-the-Self Workshop alongside her colleague Eileen Lawton, invite the HealthTree Community to sign up for a free 8 week journaling and creativity online course being offered Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm EST, beginning July 13 with the last session on August 31st. 

Julie and Eileen joined HealthTree's Adult AML Chapter on April 21st to share more about the workshop. If you are considering registering, watch the recording of the event here:

Important Details:

  • The course was specifically created for cancer survivors and focuses on fostering your creativity and journaling skills to promote healing. 
  • During the 8 weeks, you will learn and practice 18 journaling techniques to help clarify your thoughts and feelings, reduce stress, heal relationships, and inspire creative bursts of joy.
  • You will be a part of a small, welcoming group where you’ll be inspired to explore your thinking and get in touch with your own wisdom.
  • Writing experience is not necessary! Your journal is for your eyes only.
  • The online course will take place starting July13th and will run through August 31st. Participants will meet online every Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM Eastern.
  • The dates will be: July 13, 20, 27 & August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

Katie joined the HealthTree Foundation as the Community Director for AML in 2021. She is a registered dietitian who previously worked at the VA hospital in Dallas, Texas where she coached veterans with blood cancer on how to use nutrition to improve their treatment outcomes and minimize cancer-related side effects. Katie is passionate about health education and patient empowerment. In her spare time, she loves to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen, spend time running outdoors and travel to new places.
