The Power of Expression (Journaling and Expressive Writing)

Event Description
Thanks to grant funding, the HealthTree community is invited to participate in an eight-week reflective journaling and creativity live online workshop this summer! This chapter event will explore how journaling and visual art supports your own personal recovery, growth and change. Julie and Eileen will conduct a sample expressive writing and visual art activity and provide a brief overview of the free workshop.

Eileen Lawton, CRSW, facilitates journal-writing workshops that focus on self-discovery and growth. As a certified Journal-to-the-Self Instructor through the Therapeutic Writing Institute, she has designed and facilitated workshops for recovery support workers and people in recovery from substance use disorder in residential settings. www.journalcalling.com

Julie Moser, Ed.D., has worked for more than 20 years to blend a love of education with art design. These twin passions informed Julie’s work as a newspaper reporter and editor, education graphic designer and marketer, higher education faculty member, associate dean, and jewelry designer (chillcreativellc.com).
