Event Description

Living with multiple myeloma affects more than the body. It can challenge our mental health through uncertainty, fear, identity shifts, and the emotional weight of living life around appointments, labs, and treatment decisions.

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Sharon Hefetz, who was diagnosed with ultra high risk multiple myeloma in 2023 and is currently in her second remission, will share practical mindset and emotional resilience tools that supported her through diagnosis, treatment, and the ongoing realities of living with myeloma. This session will focus on staying grounded when the future feels unpredictable, learning how to work with fear instead of being controlled by it, and rebuilding a sense of steadiness after life has shifted.

Together, we will explore simple daily practices that help regulate emotions, strengthen resilience without forcing positivity, create healthy boundaries, and cultivate self compassion and surrender as stabilizing forces. The goal is not to eliminate uncertainty, but to develop the inner capacity to live fully alongside it.
