Dr Adrián Alegre, was born in Jarandilla de la Vera (Cáceres-Spain). He is Professor of Medicine (Hematology) at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) and Head of the Hematology and Hemotherapy Department at the Hospital Universitario de la Princesa in Madrid). Dr A Alegre received his medical degree, specialization as Haematologist and Doctorate at the Universidad of Salamanca (Spain) in 1.986, and completed his residence at the d Royal Infirmary Hospital in Edimburgh (Scotland-UK). Dr Alegre is member of numerous scientific societies and scientific groups (ASH, EHA, EBMT, ISBT, AABB, IMS, SEHH, SETS, SETH..) and was founder member of the Spanish Myeloma Group (GEM- PETHEMA).
