Michael Tomasson currently holds a position as a Professor of Medicine and Director of Hematologic Malignancies at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine since September 2016. From 2000 to September 2016, Michael Tomasson was a Professor of Medicine and Genetics at Washington University School of Medicine, where Michael also acted as the Scientific Director of the Multiple Myeloma Program. Michael Tomasson's career began at Massachusetts General Hospital as a Hematology Oncology Fellow from September 1992 to 1998. Michael Tomasson earned an MD from Stanford University School of Medicine from 1987 to 1992 and a BA in East Asian Studies from Wesleyan University from 1982 to 1986.
