About

Dr. Madan is board certified and fellowship trained hematologist and oncologist specializing in treating multiple myeloma, amyloidosis and waldenstrom macroglobulinemia. He was awarded an endowed research (Kurtz) fellowship in multiple myeloma at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for two consecutive years prior to starting his clinical fellowships in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He worked as Assistant Professor of Medicine and was the Director of the Myeloma program at UT Health MD Anderson Cancer Center (an NCI designated cancer center) in San Antonio, prior to joining Banner MDACC in Gilbert, AZ in May 2018. He has presented his research in several national and international meetings including the American Society of Hematology, European Hematology Association, International Myeloma workshop, International Symposium on Amyloidosis, and has authored several first-author publications in prestigious journals such as Blood, Blood Reviews and Mayo Clinic proceedings. His research interests include identifying novel therapies and combinations in multiple myeloma and he has served as the principal investigator on several clinical trials. He is a member of the SWOG myeloma research committee.
