Adult AML Chapter
event Jan 18, 2022 / 01:00PM - 02:00PM EST

Event Description

Steve Buechler was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2016 and treated with chemotherapy, radiation, and a double umbilical cord blood transplant. Throughout this time, he turned his writing skills to narrating his cancer odyssey. While doctors treated his disease, telling his story maintained his sanity. During this event, Steve will share the ups and downs of his AML medical journey, the coping strategies that sustained his identity, and the emotional dynamics he observed among members of his medical team. He will also be happy to take questions on all aspects of his journey in an effort to help you navigate yours.

Steve is the author of “How Steve Became Ralph: A Cancer/Stem Cell Odyssey (with Jokes),” which has been selected as an inspirational “Suggested Reading” by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Steve’s numerous blog posts, video presentations, and more may be found at www.stevebuechlerauthor.com
