A board certified hematologist, Dr. Papadantonakis specializes in the treatment of acute leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, myeloproliferative neoplasms and other myeloid hematological malignancies.
Prior to joining Emory, he was faculty in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Papadantonakis received his Medical Degree from the University of Crete, Greece. He obtained his MSc and PhD degrees also from the University of Crete, Greece. He completed his residency at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He undertook fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Papdantonakis' research interests are focused in the area of acute leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
