Dr. Frankfurt's clinical research is aimed at developing novel therapeutic modalities for treatment of hematological malignancies. As a lead investigator on various clinical trials she works to identify and design optimal curative strategies based on the individual patient and disease characteristics. At Northwestern, she has developed one of the largest umbilical cord blood programs in the nation. This successful program provides lifesaving therapies for patients without adult donor options. She is actively involved in developing a haploidentical program at Northwestern as well as other immunological interventions such as Car-T cell, NK cells therapies.
