One of the most commonly asked questions that we receive in our webinars and on social media is regarding the use of CBD or medical marijuana during myeloma treatment. While this topic is controversial, many myeloma patients have found pain relief thanks to these medicines. But what should patients know about these products? What are the risks? And how could it potentially affect cancer treatment? Join Dr. Raghunathan as she shares with us the scientific information that is available to us at this time.
Audrey joined the HealthTree Foundation as the Myeloma Community Program Director in 2020. While not knowing much about myeloma at the start, she has since worked hard to educate herself, empathize and learn from others' experiences. She loves this job. Audrey is passionate about serving others, loves learning, and enjoys a nice mug of hot chocolate no matter the weather.
Dr. Raghunathan is a primary-care physician in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Adult Long-Term Follow-Up Program. This program provides follow-up care for adults of all ages who had cancer during their childhood, adolescent, or young-adult years. She also serves as a site director for interns rotating through the program, and has a CBD clinic at MSK.
