Join the NEW SouthEast Myeloma Community as we hear from Phenelle Segal, RN, CIC, FAPIC who has 39 years of Infection Control experience. She is a smoldering myeloma patient herself and is passionate about helping this new community prepare for the cold/flu season that quickly approaches. We look forward to meeting with you, hearing your questions and experiences, and growing a new network of myeloma patients and caregivers in the SouthEast area. If you are from Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia, and are a myeloma patient or caregiver, this event is for you!

Audrey joined the HealthTree Foundation as the Myeloma Community Program Director in 2020. While not knowing much about myeloma at the start, she has since worked hard to educate herself, empathize and learn from others' experiences. She loves this job. Audrey is passionate about serving others, loves learning, and enjoys a nice mug of hot chocolate no matter the weather.

Registered Nurse with 39 years of Infection Control experience. President and Founder of Infection Control Consulting Services, since 2005. Highly experienced in pandemic preparedness and mitigation strategies. Member of the White House task force for pandemic preparedness from 2007-2011 and worked on prevention of transmission during SARS, MERS and Ebola. Phenelle provides COVID-19 assistance to various industries (healthcare related and non-healthcare-based clients) with round the clock assistance and support to clients including ongoing updates from CDC, epidemiology and medical experts. In 2015, Phenelle was diagnosed with smoldering myeloma and has remained an intermediate risk smoldering patient since then. Infectious diseases as it relates to the risks for myeloma patients is of special interest and closely monitored.
