I focus on treating patients with blood cancers who are considering stem cell or bone marrow transplantation. There have been significant improvements in transplantation over the last 20 years, which has improved outcomes. These improvements include the ability to use lower doses of chemotherapy to reduce toxicity for patients, as well as strategies to reduce the risk of relapse. I am interested in using new therapies and approaches to improve outcomes after stem cell transplantation for blood cancers. It is important to work together with patients to determine their goals for treatment and select the best path forward. I have enjoyed working with patients and their families for many years after their transplant.
