At EHA 2026, researchers presented updates on BMS-986453, an investigational dual-targeting CAR-T therapy designed to recognize both BCMA and GPRC5D in multiple myeloma.

Current CAR-T therapies have transformed myeloma treatment, but relapse can occur when myeloma cells escape by changing or losing their target. By combining two important myeloma targets — BCMA, a well-established CAR-T target, and GPRC5D, a newer myeloma target — this next-generation approach aims to give engineered T cells a broader ability to find and attack myeloma cells.
