New to MF, Considering a BMT at 68 - Seeking Advice
AI-generated title
Hi I have recently been diagnosed with MF after having ET for 27 years then P v for 1 year and now after a Bone Marrow Biopsy have been diagnosed with MF. It’s bad as I have 2 rogue genes and a weird chromosome which do not help the situation. I am on Ruxonitilib ( UK) (Jakafi) in States which I started a week ago. I take a gout drug daily and a preventative infection drug. So far I feel great! No bone pain and feel so much more energised. I’m 68 and live with my husband in a suburb of Liverpool in the UK. I am not sure about a bone marrow transplant- my oncologist who is the best MPN Specialist in the NW of the UK isn’t sure if I would survive it. However, he is going to put me forward to the team and let them decide. Any advice will be helpful and thanks for allowing me onto the group.

Deciding on SCT: Nervous About Recovery
AI-generated title
Morning , hope all is well. I am new to this group. My name is Sal and I am 60 years old. I have had PV (for 8 years) that became Myelofibrosis stage 2 one year ago. My was spleen was 2600cc (very large) and now have got it down to 1300cc. I am on Ruxolitinib and a study pill (INCB057643). My doctors now want me to do a Stem Cell Transplant in July 2025. I am up and down what to do. I am in good shape but nervous that I won’t recover from the SCT. Anyone have any advice that can help me decide what to do in the future. It would be very appreciated. Thank You So Much and Have A Great Day.
