A Quote That Helped Us Find Strength
AI-generated title
#healthtree #myeloma #aml There is a saying I found that helped my husband and I get through many treatments for AML, maybe someone here will find it worthwhile. It goes like this: "You never know how Strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have" I find this to be so true in my life and I see it in so many coaches that I have had the pleasure to interact with.

Managing Low Platelets Post-ASCT?
AI-generated title
Good evening, everyone. I had ASCT last year in September. I had to stop lenalidomide due to low platelets. Recovery is going well except my platelets are low. My Oncologist administered ploygam in March over a few days but still no improvement. I started rituximab beginning of May and so far, the highest i got was 20. I am very concerned and anxious, has anyone experienced this or how have you increased your platelets? I am in South Africa by the way.

Experiencing Shortness of Breath Post-ASCT?
AI-generated title
Since my ASCT last August, recovery has gone very well. However, I've noticed shortness of breath, and I get winded more quickly while hiking or exercising than before ASCT. A cough comes and goes. I'm on a maintenance treatment of 80mg Kyprolis 2x month, and lenolidamide 3 weeks on 1 week off. Otherwise, just supplemental vitamins. Has anyone else experienced noticeable changes in lung capacity post transplant?

Applying for LTD for Post-ASCT Brain Fog?
AI-generated title
Has anyone had any experience applying for long term disability due to cognitive effects post autologous stem cell transplant? I am 4 and 1/2 years out. I still have brain fog days and no longer can effectively multitask. Concentration on complex tasks is also an issue. This has been pretty consistent since the transplant. Thankfully still in remission and am on no medications for the last two years.
