David Swoboda, M.D. is a member of the Hematologic Malignancies Program at Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute and Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Prior to joining TGH, Dr. Swoboda served as the chief hematology/oncology fellow at Moffitt Cancer Center and chief resident at Georgetown University Hospital
He is actively involved in the care of patients with acute leukemias and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) in addition to serving as principal investigator on multiple clinical trials in these diseases. Dr. Swoboda’s research focuses on the genetic drivers and inflammatory significant of myeloid malignancies. He has presented his work at numerous national conferences and has several first author publications in top-tier journals including Leukemia and American Journal of Hematology.
