The panelist Roshan Asrani, MD
Roshan Asrani, MD

Dr. Roshan Asrani is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In his role, Dr. Asrani serves as an educator and mentor for medical students, residents, and hematology/oncology fellows, guiding them through their medical education and professional development. He is actively involved in the interviewing, selection, and training of fellows in oncology, ensuring that the next generation of oncologists is well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the field. As the Wellness Chair for the fellowship program, Dr. Asrani is dedicated to preventing trainee burnout and addressing systemic issues that affect both patient care and the well-being of medical professionals. In this capacity, he serves as the graduate medical education wellness champion, focusing on the overall wellness of the fellows and fostering a supportive educational environment. Clinically, Dr. Asrani specializes in treating aggressive lymphomas, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), Hodgkin lymphomas, T-cell lymphomas, and cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL). He sees and treats patients through the Lymphoma and CLL Program at the Tisch Cancer Institute, where he is also actively involved in research and clinical trials aimed at advancing the understanding and treatment of lymphoma. Dr. Asrani's commitment to education, wellness, and patient care underscores his dedication to improving outcomes for both his patients and the medical community at large.
