Event Description
Dr. Elif Yilmaz will discuss treatment options for relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma patients. This presentation will include some basics of DLBCL, such as statistics, staging, and explanations of what relapse and refractory mean. Dr. Yilmaz will then discuss management options available to those with R/R DLBCL. This will include individual drugs, treatment regimens, investigational products, and supportive care.

Speakers & Moderators
Dr. Elif Yilmaz, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in indolent and aggressive lymphomas, cellular therapies, and bone marrow transplant. Dr. Yilmaz earned her medical degree at Istanbul University in Turkey. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and gained advanced training in hematology and medical oncology through fellowships at George Washington University and Georgetown University School of Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022. Dr. Yilmaz is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, among other professional organizations. She has delivered several presentations and published several academic articles related to her areas of expertise.
Kat is from Lehi, Utah and is the Health Education Manager for lymphoma. She has worked in healthcare for a decade now, and earned her degree in Community Health Education and Promotion. Kat is passionate about disease prevention as well as improving quality of life and health equity. She enjoys reading, hiking, baking, ice skating, gardening, time with her family and friends, and most of all, spoiling her nieces and nephew.
