I was diagnosed in 2015 with Smoldering MM and went full blown MM in 2017. Started RVD but had to stop the Velcade due to Neuropathy. I had my stem cells harvested in 2020 but chose not to have the transplant at that point in time since I was responding well to the treatment protocol. I have the usual side effects of the Revlimid, yet I try to stay as active as possible. My Caregiver (spouse Joanne) and I attend many support groups and webinars to learn as much as possible about this disease and the new protocols that are coming out. Joanne is a counselor by profession and has years of experience counseling teens and adults. She is a wonderful caregiver and is on this journey with me. My Oncologist/Hematologist refers to us as the most learned couple. We find that acquiring the knowledge allows for better conversations with the medical teams.
