I am a hematologist specializing in multiple myeloma and related plasma cell disorders. I received my MBBS at Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan and completed my internal medicine and chief medical residencies at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School. More recently, I completed my fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Florida. I manage the whole spectrum from monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance to smoldering multiple myeloma to active multiple myeloma. My clinical focus is on patients with relapsed and refractory disease and those who have high-risk features. My research interests include the development of novel anti-myeloma drugs through participation in clinical trials. I work closely with our basic and translational research colleagues to better the understanding of disease biology and identify innovative treatment options for this cancer.
