In addition to his role at Tufts CTSI, Andreas Klein served as Chair of the Tufts Health Sciences Campus Institutional Review Board (IRB) from 2010 through 2019.
Dr. Klein is an attending physician and Associate Chief in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Tufts Medical Center. He is the Director of the Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program and the Hematologic Malignancies Program, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is board certified in adult Hematology.
He serves on various institutional committees, including the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and the Cancer and Antimicrobial Subcommittees, as well as Leadership for the Cancer Center and Pharmacy and Therapeutics for the Tufts Medicine network. He chairs the Value and Healthcare Economics Special Interest Group for the American Society of Transplant and Cellular Therapy.
Dr. Klein has extensive clinical, laboratory, and correlative science research experience. He has designed and conducted a number of innovative investigator-initiated and sponsor-investigator interventional clinical trials in the treatment of lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and stem cell transplantation. He has been a nationally invited presenter on various oncology topics for more than a decade.
Dr. Klein graduated from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New England Medical Center, Boston, MA, and completed his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina.
