Amandeep Salhotra, M.D.,has joined City of Hope's Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation as an Associate Professor following completion of his Bone Marrow Transplant fellowship at City of Hope. Dr. Salhotra received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBBS), as well as his MD in Pediatrics from the Maulana Azad Medical College at the University of Delhi in India. He went on to serve as Senior Resident in pediatrics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, followed by a research fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He then pursued a residency in Internal Medicine, and a Hematology-Oncology fellowship at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston, MA. This was followed by an additional Hematology-Oncology fellowship at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA, before coming to City of Hope in 2012. Dr. Salhotra received the Arnold P. Gold award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching during his residency in Internal Medicine (2009), and the Farrow Fellowship award for translational cancer research in 2011, during his Hematology-Oncology fellowship. He has published 40 articles in the peer-reviewed literature and 12 abstracts. He has published 40 research papers and has been invited to speak at many national and international meetings. His clinical interests include management of patients with Acute Leukemia, Hematopoietic Cell Transplant and HCT related complications including acute and chronic Graft Versus Host Disease.
