During the routine CBC test of my father, I found the platelet count at (118) slightly lower than expected (150) and the purpura observed over the past couple of days. The oncologist has been informed. He is on VPD. Is this concerning and if any specific steps are needed for improving the platelets? Can I have some more info on platelet count and would appreciate if more experiences were shared around it to keep myself informed. Many thanks
