I think first questions to ask your current oncologists if they might know someone who has expertise or training in the field.
There are now some fellowships and training courses that physicians can undergo to get further training in integrative medicine. And so I think you need to really inquire about if anyone's done this type of training or has experience over time in the field of integrative medicine or really specifically integrative oncology.
there aren't too many physicians that I'm aware of that are certified in both. But I think the American College of Lifestyle Medicine does have a directory. And so you can certainly look, we have several providers here within the Boston area, and this is a very large growing field, both because of the natural relationship that exists between oncology and lifestyle and also just the recognition across the board that our lifestyle has affected our disease, our chronic illnesses.
So you can certainly look within the American College of Lifestyle Medicine Directory to find physicians who are oncologists, and that would probably be a good starting place.
