Exciting Advances in Myeloma Treatment | Timothy Schmidt, MD | ASCO 2023

Hello, my name is Tim Schmidt. I am a myeloma physician at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. And I am here at ASCO to learn as much as I can about the new research in multiple myeloma, exciting clinical trials, particularly as it relates to my interest in high-risk myeloma and how to define that and some new strategies in terms of how to overcome it. And I think that one of the things that we are seeing is some really exciting data starting to come out with some of these new treatment combinations, some of the more exciting drugs like bispecific antibodies and CAR T cells that are getting to be used a little bit earlier and hopefully starting to be more accessible to many patients, particularly at a setting where it's going to be more powerful and more effective to try to get the myeloma under control and help people live longer.
