Can the antibody and immune response be measured? Should patients request the antibody lab test?

There are two things that I want to bring up in terms of the antibody responses to the vaccine. A lot of people are getting tested for against the anti-spike protein to look at the response to the vaccine. Yes, we do the test, but we do not know what is the threshold. What does a positive test mean? Does it really provide immunity? So one thing is very important. We do not know what the thresholds of immunity means for these antibody tests. There are ways to measure T cell responses to the vaccines. They're still investigational. There is an EUA request for specific T cells to look at T cell responses after the vaccine, but I do believe they're still being in the clinical trial setting and there is not really anything ready for the prime time just yet, but will be in the future.
