When should patients have strategy talks with their doctor?

Tools for myeloma patients to really wrap their heads around this disease are still really needed.

But really getting a sense of the long term goals here is really important.

Talk to your doctor about what is that going to look like for you, so that you know that you've got an idea about what is the next three months going to look like, you're going to look like five years is going to look like hopefully ten years and 15 years is going to look like.

So that we have that you have a sense or the patient has a sense of what they're kind of in for.

It's really important.

And I think getting that's a hard conversation to have early because especially early on in the diagnosis and early on the treatment, you're just trying to get it all together, get the disease under control, manage toxicity, wrap your head around this new treatment schedule.

It's really important to get, and not too far into treatment. A really good sense of what's the long term plan here and what does long term look like.
