Can an individual improve their immune status? So it's a very common question by patients to ask how they can help and stimulate their immune system or improve their immune system. If we think about how complex the immune system is, that is a very hard ask and a very difficult question and unfortunately in the past there have been a lot of approaches that were at some point recommended but then have been left more or less like for example high dose therapy with vitamin C and like which have not really been shown to be that effective as people had hoped for. There's currently a lot of encouragement for a replacement of vitamin D in people who are vitamin D deficient but again this is something that should be monitored by a doctor because one can overdose on vitamin D as well and generally it is of course a healthy lifestyle that generally keeps us fitter. It's physical activity within the allowed ways that we can do in myeloma, not weight bearing for example, but fitness is a complex and immune defense is a complex matter that we can stimulate through lots of ways of healthy living, a balanced diet, moderate physical activity are very very effective to support the immune system.
