Hi, I'm Ola Langren. I'm a professor of medicine and I'm chief of the myeloma division at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer at the University of Miami in beautiful Miami. Here at ASH 2022 in New Orleans, there's a lot of new exciting data coming out for the field of multiple myeloma. To me, the most exciting things focus around immunotherapies. There are many updates on the new bispecific antibodies, new targets, longer follow-up information, the intersection between cell therapy and antibodies using even newer antibodies that we have not yet heard so much about that can activate immune cells and combinations of all these different things. Also, a lot of studies that interest me that focus on biology of the disease. Understanding the biology is really key for us to advance the field. I think what we need to do going forward is to have better ways of defining what we call high risk, the current high risk criteria or just not right. Understanding the biology will be critical. That will also allow us to ultimately do more precision medicine, which is really the next step to help every patient so we can sort of eradicate what we call high risk disease. If we can just find the right therapy for every patient, that will be the way to find a cure for the disease.
