Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is a potentially serious side effect of CAR-T cell therapy, and caregivers play an important role in spotting it early. In this HealthTree video, we explain what CRS is, when it is most likely to occur (typically the first 14 days), the early warning signs, and the equipment to have at home: a thermometer, blood pressure cuff, and pulse oximeter. You'll also learn what to do for a fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, what to do after hours, how CRS is graded, and how to prepare at home.
