Hello, my name is Dr. Paul Richardson and I'm the clinical director of clinical research at the Jerome Lipler Multiple Myeloma Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. And I also serve as the clinical program leader there, as well as the R.J. Corman Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Now, in that spirit, we were looking also at newer agents, and it was my privilege to present on behalf of my co-investigators two other studies just to share with you as an audience. The most important one in terms of new drugs were these new so-called cell mods. And we were able to present data from a number of cohorts in a large multicenter trial looking at the combination of a remarkable new oral agent called mesigdemide, or MEZI for short, which also has the acronym CC92480, a drug that's given three weeks on and one week off. And we presented results combined with both bortezomib and with carfilzomib. And we showed with both these combinations that the results were both very high in terms of overall response. Tolerability was favorable. And what was really interesting was encouraging early signals for duration of response. So very promising data from these exciting new platforms, even when all these other drugs in the same classes had previously not worked for each patient, such as proteasome inhibitors, antibodies and imides. It's important to note, though, that mesigdemide is not just an imide. It's actually very different to an imide. It's a so-called cell mod. It behaves differently. It has a much more powerful effect on the immune system. And so because of that, we believe this is a very promising new class of drug to be available for our patients.
