What is cereblon? So cereblon, which is the target of both IMIDs and cell-mod agents, is a protein that is involved in the degradation of other proteins in the cell, both tumor cells and immune cells. And when the IMID or the cell-mod binds to cereblon, it sort of finds the targets more easily and is able to degrade important proteins and factors that are regulating the survival of the tumor cells, the myeloma cells more specifically.
