Radiation for Pain: How Long Until It Helps?
AI-generated title
How long before radiotherapy helps with bone pain? I've been fighting my insurance company to cover radiation for a large and very painful lytic lesion on my sternum, and perhaps naively assuming that the pain would start to lessen right away. But I had the first of five 3DCRT sessions yesterday, and the pain is significantly worse now. For those of you who had radiation to help with pain, how long did it start to work? Days, weeks? Did particular pain meds help more than others? I'm not supposed to apply ice or heat. Thanks in advance for anything you can remember.

Celebrating a 10-Year Clinical Trial Success
AI-generated title
Clinical Trials work I just completed 124 months of a clinical trial. That’s 10 years 4 months. IT WORKED. I am in remission but staying on the drug Ninlaro to keep me in remission. God is so good to me as are my caregivers, Dr. Stockerl-Goldstein and his staff.

Experiencing Low Oxygen & Shallow Breathing at Night?
AI-generated title
Has anyone had issues with shallow breathing at night and your oxygen dropping? I think after all of my rib damage at initial diagnosis, I now don't do well breathing deep at night. I caught this with my sports watch indicating my oxygen was dropping to 84 intermittently throughout the night. I have a sleep study scheduled. Not sure if it is due to my rib damage or from the induction therapy.

Considering Cevostamab Maintenance Trial?
AI-generated title
Hello from korea! My dad finished the transplant a few weeks ago. My dad has a high risk factor of 1q21 amplification, he was classified as a high risk group because B2M was over 7 and plasma cells were 80% when he diagnosis. Fortunately, it responded well to VRD and B2M levels dropped to normal range and reached m protein 0. Is anyone else doing clinical trials for CO43923? It's a clinical trial that uses both cevostamab and lenalidomide for maintenance therapy after the first transplant. There's not much information because it's phase 1b. Should we do clinical trials?

Concerned About Ratio Nearing Treatment Trigger
AI-generated title
I was diagnosed with Myeloma in January 2024. The Haematologist said I was Watch and Wait and she would see me every month and have my bloods taken. I was with her today and she told me my Lamda/kappa ratio was 95 but if it reaches 100 I will need to start treatment. I am just worried how quickly the ratio can rise from 95 to 100. The diagnosis was a complete shock to me. I am an 81 year old granny with no other health problems only arthritis. What can I do to bring that ratio down? I am so worried.
