Navigating GPRC5D-Targeted Treatments for Multiple Myeloma: Managing Side Effects and Support Strategies

Cynthia is a newborn ICU nurse by trade that has spent the last six years in the medical device industry educating nurses and doctors about devices that are new to their facility. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, traveling the world with her family, and creating Halloween animatronics for her annual front yard display. She has a passion for life-long learning and enjoys sharing what she learns with the people around her.

Rakesh Popat is a consultant haematologist at University College Hospital with a specialist interest in multiple myeloma. He leads the myeloma clinical trials program and is the cancer programme lead for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) University College London Hospitals Clinical Research Facility. Dr. Popat completed his PhD in novel treatments for myeloma and was awarded a fellowship to attend the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA, USA. Dr. Popat is the Chair of the UK Myeloma Research Alliance (UKMRA), the science lead of the executive board of the UK Myeloma Society (UKMS) and the Young Board of the European Myeloma Network (EMN). In addition, he is a member of the International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG) where he is an active member of the immunotherapy working group and contributes to research and guidelines. He is the Principle Investigator for the Myeloma UK funded NIHR Myeloma Health Informatics Collaborative.

Donna D. Catamero, MSN, ANP-BC, OCN, CCRC, has a Master’s of Science in Nursing from New York University and is an Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She is the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Outpatient Multiple Myeloma Program at the Mount Sinai Hospital Center in New York City.
