Can You Get a Kidney Transplant with Multiple Myeloma?
Mar 14, 2024
01:00PM - 02:00PM EDT
Online Event
Myeloma patients with kidney disease are often in a precarious position in which both their kidneys and their myeloma need to be treated simultaneously.
In rare cases, myeloma patients' kidney function does not improve with myeloma treatment and a kidney transplant may be necessary. Attend the meeting to get answers to the following questions:
- Who truly needs a transplant?
- Is a transplant possible if the patient has active myeloma?
- How long will the patient need to stop active treatment if they have a kidney transplant?
- How are patients with kidney involvement monitored differently than those with "standard" myeloma?
We look forward to seeing you there and answering your questions!
