Managing Major Side Effects on XPOVIO
XPOVIO (or selinexor) is known for its high side effect profile, although that's not the case for some patients on the treatment. Because we can't anticipate who will or won't experience side effects, we want to help you be as prepared as possible for how to navigate the major side effects that might come your way when your start treatment. Molly Oswald, RN, will speak to us on how to manage these major side effects. Come with your questions!

Audrey Burton-Bethke
Audrey joined the Myeloma Crowd as the Community Manager in 2020 after previously working in the nonprofit field for 4 years as a director of Fundraising and Development. She graduated from BYU with a major in Spanish and Nonprofit Management. Audrey is passionate about serving others, loves learning, and enjoys a nice mug of hot chocolate no matter the weather.
Molly Oswald, RN
Molly Oswald is a nurse practitioner with the Division of Hematology Oncology at UCLA. She has been at UCLA since 2017 and provides care for patients on a wide variety of heme-malignancy clinical trials, including Karyopharm's multiple myeloma Selinexor trial. She primarily cares for patients with multiple myeloma and leukemias. Prior to UCLA, she worked as a nurse coordinator at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in solid tumors for five years. She has enjoyed working in the nursing field for 12 years after making a mid-life career change. Prior to nursing, Molly worked as an environmental and biomedical engineer and manager. She has a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University, a Masters in Nursing from UCLA and an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s certificate from Cal State LA.
