About

I have always been fascinated by science and biology and decided to pursue medicine when I was in high school. During college, I participated in a summer internship at a hospital, and I realized how much I love working with patients and getting to know them better.

I chose hematology–oncology as a specialty because I enjoy examining the pathology of blood under a microscope and making a diagnosis. As a medical resident, I appreciated interacting with patients and learning more about their diverse backgrounds. It is fulfilling to be there for my patients and their families and to provide them with the guidance and reassurance they need during a difficult time in their lives.

As a hematologist–oncologist at Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, I specialize in treating acute leukemia and lymphoma and am experienced in managing other complex diseases. I perform bone marrow biopsies and am a part of Perlmutter Cancer Center’s Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. I also help people treat benign hematological conditions, such as anemia. My goal is to offer my patients the best treatment available. To make that possible, I stay updated on the latest research and participate in conferences.

When working with patients, I keep in mind their personality, lifestyle, and family situation. I strive to help them return to their normal routines as quickly as possible and maintain their quality of life. My team and I provide patients with personalized care, including access to the latest clinical trials that can offer advanced treatment options.

I am a member of the American Society of Hematology.
