IRA Rollovers

Support HealthTree and become a Cure Contributor to our important mission through an IRA Rollover Gift.

legacy giving hero

If you're 70½ years or older, you can make a tax-free gift to HealthTree Foundation directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). This is called an IRA rollover gift or qualified charitable distribution (QCD).

An IRA rollover gift is an excellent way to make a meaningful impact while enjoying tax benefits. Here's how it works:

Benefits of an IRA Rollover Gift

Avoid paying income tax on IRA withdrawals up to $105,000 per year

Satisfy your annual required minimum distribution (RMD)

Reduce your taxable income

Make a difference for blood cancer patients with a gift that costs you nothing

Let us know if you have included us in your plans so we can ensure your gift is used as you intend and invite you to our Legacy Society.

How to make an IRA Rollover Gift

step1
1

Contact Plan Administrator

Contact your IRA Plan Administrator and request a direct transfer of funds from your IRA to HealthTree Foundation. Provide them with our tax ID: 45-5354811.

step2
2

Specify Amount

Specify the amount you’d like to transfer, up to $105,000 for the tax year.

step3
3

Make Transfer

Instruct your IRA Plan Administrator to make the transfer directly to HealthTree (Add HT’s payment instructions/address)

It's important that you have the funds directly transferred from your IRA plan to HealthTree. Funds withdrawn first and then contributed don't qualify for the tax benefits.
