24 years treating Chronic Myeloid Leukemia
I am from Ypsilanti, Michigan. I attended the University of Michigan, earning a degree in Classical Latin as an undergraduate and then my medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. Subsequently, I completed a general pediatrics residency at the University of Minnesota, followed by fellowship training in pediatric hematology/oncology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Since completing my training, I have had the privilege to work in several different settings including academic pediatric hematology/oncology, lab-based research, clinical-based research/drug development, general pediatrics, and now with The Permanente Medical Group.
