For patients and caregivers, this transition can seem overwhelming and frightening. Dr. Lolita Melhado has over 30 years of experience in nursing which includes critical care, palliative care, primary care, curriculum development, program development, and education. In this webinar, Dr. Melhado will share her expertise with HealthTree Foundation's community of patients and caregivers.

Speakers & Moderators
Lolita Melhado, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, ACHPN, as Vice President of Clinical Programs, plays a pivotal role in developing clinical programs for advance care planning. She possesses extensive expertise in acute and community-based palliative care, including program and curriculum design, education, and training. Dr. Melhado holds a Masters in Nursing from Florida Gulf Coast University and a PhD in Nursing Research from the University of Central Florida. Her dual board certifications in Family Nurse Practice and Advanced Hospice and Palliative Nursing underscore her clinical acumen.
Kat is from Lehi, Utah and is the Health Education Manager for lymphoma. She has worked in healthcare for a decade now, and earned her degree in Community Health Education and Promotion. Kat is passionate about disease prevention as well as improving quality of life and health equity. She enjoys reading, hiking, baking, ice skating, gardening, time with her family and friends, and most of all, spoiling her nieces and nephew.
