What is an AML specialist and why do I need one? There is a lot of subtlety to treating acute myeloid leukemia. It's a difficult disease to treat. There can be a lot of complications. And so I think having an experienced physician who is used to dealing with these complications and really a team approach because it really does take a village to take care of this disease well. The other point is we want a center that really has a full spectrum of services. Many patients will require a bone marrow or stem cell transplant. And so we want access to this as well. And another important point is that clinical trials are still an important part of the care of this disease. So we're constantly trying to make advances. Things have gotten better for patients, but we still have a long way to go. And having a center that participates in clinical trials can afford access to new and very helpful treatments, cutting edge treatments. There are dedicated leukemia programs. And I think that's the key. And within our center, we each sort of have our niche. I happen to specialize in AML. That's my area of research. And I see a large number of patients, others specialize in related disorders, chronic leukemias, myeloproliferative neoplasms. So all related, but you want that kind of expertise.
