What is the difference between phase 1, phase 2, and phase 3 trials?

What is the difference between Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 trials? So most of the times Phase 1 trials are done in trying to find out whether the new medication that they're going to test are, if it's a combination with already approved medication, whether it is safe and, you know, in the humans. Sometimes, most of the times, Phase 1 is first in human studies, but to identify the safe dose and, you know, whether it is safe to be given with other treatments. Phase 2 is more to know, you know, more effectiveness of the drug, and then, you know, once it is approved when it is showing a response in Phase 2, then most of the times they do a Phase 3 study where it is compared against the standard of care treatment, and most of the times it is a randomized trial, you know, comparing the standard treatment with addition of the new treatment.
