Who should consider MRD testing and when should it be done?

Who should consider MRD testing and when should it be done? So who should consider MRD testing? Well that's something that any patient with AML should discuss with their doctor. In general, in my practice, I test for MRD during any bone marrow that I'm performing and for a patient who's otherwise in remission. That said, for someone who's been in remission for three or more years, generally speaking we stop doing bone marrows at that point and it's not necessarily necessary to check for MRD at that point.
