Relative ML is when an ML response to treatment that means goes into a remission and then comes back after that. Per definition, we want to see more than 5% blast in the bone marrow and also reappearance of blast in the bone marrow can be a definition of relapsed ML. Now sometimes you can see transient increase in blast in the peripheral blood. That does not necessarily mean that the disease has relapsed. But if they are persistently present, then that becomes a relapsed ML.
