What should a patient consider discussing with their provider when contemplating trials? I think the most important thing they have to ask is, you know, what type of trial? Is it phase one, phase two, phase three? And what evidence they have already, you know, like in terms of testing this drug, whether it is a randomized trial or not? Is the trial going to get the drug or is it a control group? And if it is a control group, I mean, I would make sure that they are getting the standard of care for the control group also. It is important because the treatments are changing so rapidly and the trial, it takes time to design a trial and conduct a trial and also, you know, to get the results and everything. It takes anywhere between two to three years, but sometimes things change by that time. You know, the clinical trial is still progressing. They might have started the trial with the standard of care, but is it appropriate standard of care now? I think that is a very important question to ask their providers. And, you know, they should be, if that is the standard of care at that time and if the provider, you know, that is something to consider, you know, definitely, I would say definitely participating in the clinical trial will help them. You know, there will be more close monitoring and there will be, you know, potentially more, you know, response compared to what the standard of care treatment would be otherwise.
